The Favor of God

Enjoying God’s Favor

There really is no simple way to describe the favor of God. He blesses those whom He chooses to bless with special advantages or gifts because of His sovereign will to do so. It doesn’t always make sense, and in some cases it isn’t always fair, but it is a wonderful blessing for the individual on the receiving end of this gift. The favor of God can take you places you have never dreamed. It can open up doors of opportunity that seem impossible, and it can soften the heart of even your harshest critic. Simply put, God’s favor can accomplish amazing things no amount of human ability or will could ever accomplish! This precious gift is available to EVERY believer who has made Jesus their Savior AND who has read and chosen to believe His Word on this topic as it relates to their life. The bible is filled with promises of favor for those who dare to believe–it’s like a gift just waiting to be opened, have you received yours today?

Think About It:

Explore your view on God’s favor

  1. Do you believe God’s favor is available to you? Why or why not?
  2. Have you experienced the presence of God’s favor in your life? List examples.
  3. What, if anything, do you think is preventing you from experiencing God’s favor in your life?

Take Action

Experience God’s Favor

  1. Search your bible concordance, found in the back of your bible, for scriptures on favor that resonate with you. Confess these promises aloud allowing them to penetrate your thoughts and expectations as it relates to receiving this gift in your life.
  2. Read Psalm 138. This psalm is one of thanksgiving for God’s favor. Once you have completed the reading, in your own words thank God for blessing your life with His favor on a daily basis.

Remember, human ability can not accomplish what the favor of God can.
