The True You!

Are You Living Life Divinely Defined?

God has divinely defined each and every one of us, and He wants us to live our lives in light of that definition on a daily basis. When you do, such knowledge will drive you to make certain decisions that you otherwise wouldn’t make. You may even do things that, to others, seem strange, but to you are right in line with God’s will and purpose for YOUR life. It will cause you to accept certain invitations and decline others, and break long-standing traditions that drive how things have “always been done”—all because of this priceless knowledge.

One of my favorite examples of this is found in John 4.  This story illustrates Jesus asserting His God-given identity with courage and boldness. First, He tells the woman of Samaria that He is the long-awaited promised Messiah that she and her people had been anticipating. The story goes on to illustrate the amazement of His disciples when they discovered Him speaking to this particular woman—because Jews had no dealing with Samaritans. Lastly, we see Jesus refusing His disciples’ offer to eat and explains to them that His food “is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to accomplish His work.”

If you don’t know the person God has created you to be, or if you aren’t asserting that truth on a daily basis, then you are robbing yourself and the world of the blessings that are associated with the “true” you. Spend some time with the Lord and ask Him to reveal to you your God-given identity. If you already know, I challenge you to let this be your declaration: “I am she who _____________.” You fill in the blank, and once the blanks are filled in, begin living it intentionally and with no excuses, because you are Divinely Defined!

Yes, I know…”I am” to be the name of Source.
“Tell them, “I am” sent you”.

And, I am wondering who you are preaching to.
Where is your audience? Have you searched them out?
We all must be good followers, to have good followers.
    Find your followers.
    You deserve each other.

Thanks, Teri! Now that the book is sort of out of the way, finding followers is my focus!
You are so sweet, and thank you!

Hey Felisha! That’s right, you most certainly are divinely defined! Sometimes this truth is easy to remember, then there are times when we must remind ourselves and ANYTHING that tries to contradict that fact just who we are. God bless you, and thank you for the words of encouragement!
